Hi guys:

There is going to come out another Altaya Rallyecar collection here in Portugal. It's planned that it will come out this week.
The collection is called "Our Rallye Champions" and is made of portuguese drivers and maybe some other that raced on the portuguese rallye. I still don't have the full list so I can't be sure. The first model will be the Escort MKII "Diabolique" from Joaquim Santos. But the offers are the best thing. The 1st will be one assistance van from the "Diabolique Team". The 2nd will be one trailer and the 3rd some mechanics. But the 4th is the best. It seems they will give a diorama of one corner of the Arganil special stage. It really looks promissing. My only doubt is the detail of the models. They launched a preliminary collection a couple of months ago only in some parts of the country. Only came out the Escort MKII "Diabolique" and the Lancer Evo8 from Armindo Araujo. Both models had the normal Altaya detail. Still I hope the final collection comes like the Sainz collection which, as we all know, is very close to Ixo standard.
As soon as it comes out I'll give some more news.

Hi Pedro,

great to hear. An additional diorama would be great. Hope to see some pictures of the whole collection soon.

Finally the collection was launched. A big disappointment. The detail is nothing like the Sainz Collection. It's the normal Altaya detail - black interiors, etc, etc. At least the models come with the full acrylic case. The list of models is interesting mainly for portuguese collectors and the offers are what I said in the first post. Here goes the full list:

Mitsubishi Lancer Evo8 - Rallye de Portugal 2005 - Armindo Araujo (2004 & 2005 portuguese rallye champion)

The 3rd already came out but it's a very known model - the 131 Abarth from Marku Alen.

Hi Pedro,

nice model you show us on the pictures. Unfortunately the model lacks of seat belts. The tires are as well not so detailed and are more looking like Matchbox

But for the prize it´s quite nice is think.

Hi Andre:

You are right. For the price the model is very nice but it could be a lot better as I already said. The seats belts are not the worse because I have some decals of seat-belts and if I want I can solve it. The problem is the rest of the interiour and the wheels. I just have to wait for the Minipartes release
