Here's my new project: Subaru Impreza WRC 2005 Rally Japan with photo-etched parts and drivers maybe.

It's a moot question whether to use primer or not. Any experiences with primer and Tamiya colors? I have paintet my three previous models with Revell colors and without primer, but the result has not satisfied me, so i will switch to Tamiya paint.

Hi Andreas,

wish you luck with the model. I have a Focus model, lying here around and not finished yet. I´m looking forward to see the finished model. Maybe you can do some pictures during the work, so we can see the progress and finishing. That would be great.

Good luck with the project. I would really like to have the time, patience and specially the talent to assemble kits but I really don't. The best I'm able to do is to repair small defects the models sometimes bring. But only very easy stuff.
I hope it comes out good.

I started with the body. After sanding the lines from production process i sprayed a thin coat of primer. Unfortunately some lines are still visible, so i have to sand once again.

The paintjob looks very nice, specially of the small details like the exaust system

Very nice!!

One thing where die-cast models still need to improve is the details under the cars. Exaust systems, etc, etc. As we can see in this kit, the detail is quite good. 1/43 models are still too weak in this area.
