Hi guys:

I would like to tell you all a bad situation that happened to me so it doesn’t happen to you.
Has most of you know, besides being a collector, I also sell some models here in Portugal to support my collection. Last year I found a seller on Ebay that had some interesting models for my collection. The username is rallye43 and the webpage is www.rally43.com. The guy who always talked to me is called Ralf Dienberg. When he noticed I was portuguese he told me he was searching for a portuguese person who was willing to get him a lot of Altayas. Has you also know, Portugal is one of the best places to get Altaya models. It looked a good deal for both parts so I agreed with him I would get him a lot of Altayas. He sent me some models I won on Ebay and a couple more I choose. I got him 60 or 70 models – I’m not certain. Still I sent him something like 20 models extra more than he sent to me. After that he took much time to answer me. I was thinking that he planned to trick me. Still, after a lot of e-mails he answered. He apologized for the delay and he asked me if I could get more models. I said I would. So he sent me a good number of models. The ones he needed to send to compensate me and 37 extra. Once I received the models I started trying to get the models he asked me. In January 2005 I started contacting Altaya to get the models. Unfortunately, as many of you know, Altaya works really bad. It took me until April to get the models. Still I always kept him informed of the situation. Many of you know the difficulty I had to get the models because it was in the same time I got some of you a good number of Altayas.
And the guy was free to tell me that he didn’t want the models anymore. But he never did it.
Still, after much time and work I was able to get the models. I got him exactly 111 models. I had to send him 37 models to compensate him for the extra he sent last time. So after this he had to send me 74 models. I sent all the 111 models on April 19th 2005. After that I kept asking him if he got the models. More than one month later (May 25th) I got an answer. He finally told me received the models and that only 5 were broken. And he sent me a list of models to choose. I choose a couple and asked him for other models I needed and that we had agreed he would get to me. After that I got silence. I kept sending e-mails and more e-mails. I even left questions on the Ebay auctions. On August I got an e-mail saying the guy (Ralf Dienberg) had a car accident but he would get back soon. In my good faith I told them I would wait. Still, in September I tried again. The silence continued. One day I got really pissed and I left lots of questions on ebay auctions and I sent some e-mails. On September 14th I finally got an answer from some lady. She said the guy was still in the Hospital and that she would try to talk with him on the following weekend. She seemed not to know a lot about the situation. Still she tried to get me a couple of models but nothing of what I had agreed with the other guy. So I told her to talk to him and to tell me something after that. Until today I didn’t got any answer. I sent some more e-mails asking and I only got silence. And I just knew from a german collector that the guy is working because he sent an e-mail to him on October.
So, I was tricked and robbed. Probably the accident talk was bullshit. Still, even if it wasn’t, if he was a honest guy he would answer my mails as soon as he got back to work. I got nothing. I sent another e-mail on Wednesday giving him the change to solve the problem. Once again I got no answer so I sent the last e-mail on Friday (today) saying what he really deserved to hear.
So be very careful with this guy. He is a liar, a cheater - in one simple word a THIEF who took advantage of my good will and honesty and robbed me of more than 70 models.
Please tell all your collectors friends this story so they can all stay way from him.
As I said in the last mail I sent to him, I hope the next guy he tricks is from Germany so that person can solve the problem with is hands and brake is face in two.

Hi Pedro,

i know the guy. I bought many models from him and had up to now no problems at all. But if i hear what you experienced with that guy, i´m getting very angry

. Maybe it is because you are not german and cannot make him trouble at all. I hope some more people will read your story not to make any bussiness with that person anymore. I agree with you on the contact delay. He answers emails very late and sometimes not at all.

Whether the guy is working or not is easy to get out. You only have to look at his ebay auctions. Sadly i have a link to that guy on my homepage, because i had no trouble up to now. But i will remove it quickly not to give him more costumers he can cheat.
